The applicant must meet the following criteria in order to be considered:

1. Seniors graduating from McLean County Schools and adjacent communities in Spring 2026.
2. Demonstrate financial need.
3. Application and all required documents and scheduled interview due by 9:00 p.m. on March 29, 2026.
   

Selection Process

A completed Scholarship Application along with all required documents MUST be included at the time your application is submitted (exception: official transcript may be submitted by mail by the application deadline).

• If any items are omitted or instructions are not followed, the application will be deemed incomplete/invalid and will not be considered. Application data may be saved and reviewed prior to submission. Changes cannot be made once the application is submitted.
• Only electronic applications submitted on or before the March 29, 2026, deadline will be screened and evaluated.
• The winners and their families will be notified by May 1, 2026. Confirmed attendance is required by May 15, 2026.
•  All scholarship winners must attend the Purple & Gold Luncheon on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington, IL.
• Application materials will not be returned. All information provided is confidential and will be the property of the Chi Beta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
• Must provide proof of enrollment prior to receiving scholarship.

Interview Process

The Scholarship Application opens Sunday, February 15, 2026, and closes Sunday, March 29, 2026.

• No essay required; all applicants will be interviewed.
• Interviews will be conducted on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, and Thursday, April 16, 2026, on the Kingsley Junior High stage.
• Selected applicants will be contacted for an interview with the scholarship committee.
• Interview topics will include current events, your basic knowledge of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, your basic knowledge of Chi Beta Beta Alumni Chapter, and a personal biography.
• Applications must select one interview time slot and be prepared to spend 45-60 minutes for the interview.
