Talent Hunt 2024 | April 6th

The Chi Beta Beta Graduate Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is pleased to announce it's High School Omega Talent Hunt Contest for 2024.

Since its inception, the Talent Hunt Program established by Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. has been instrumental in supporting youth worldwide in showcasing their artistic talents and giving them a platform to nurture these talents through an objective, unbiased competition both locally and regionally. The Talent Hunt program is one of several national, mandated programs that our great fraternity facilitates in supporting our youth.

Basic Rules for Omega Talent Hunt:
1. Contestant must be a high school student grades 9-12.
2. Attend a selected high school below or "Home School" verification from a school represented below.
3. Contestants who are “Home Schooled” must present verification from the school district enrolled in.
4. All presentations must be presented in a professional manner and must be dignified and in good taste.
5. Track music may be used for accompaniment only, NO lead instrumental or background vocals included
6. The Talent Hunt is a competition on the Chapter Level.
7. The Omega Talent Hunt is a Demonstration only! There is no adjudication at this level.

How to Apply
Your submission material can be up to, but no longer than 3 minutes in length. It must be received by Friday, March 29, 2024. Your submission will be reviewed and judged by our panel and, whether you are selected or not, you will be notified if you will be advancing to perform during the Omega Talent Hunt.

1) Complete all sections and submit form.

2) Have your parent or guardian read over form in its entirety and give consent.

3) Submit your audition file below. (Max. 3 minutes)

1st Place; 2nd Place; 3rd Place winners will be selected

You must submit all required documents and complete this form by Friday, March 29, 2024 at11:59 p.m. This electronic form and required submissions must be received by the deadline above to be considered as a finalist for the Omega Talent Hunt Competition, scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2024.

Participation in the Talent Hunt is open for the following forms of trained art:

1. Visual Arts (Artistic Creation): Sculpture, photography, drawing, and painting. (1 to 3 pieces for judging)

2. Dramatic Interpretation/Spoken Word (Speech): Poetry, oration, monologue, etc. (Printed script should be provided for each judge to analyze) Writings must be memorized (Vulgar or offensive language is prohibited.)

3. Dance (Interpretive Movement: *Music/ Instrumental Optional): ballet, modern dance, and tap.

4. Instrumental/ Piano Solo/ Solo Vocal (Music): Vocal and instrumental; rap, classical, semi-classical, gospel, and jazz. Music must be memorized (Vulgar or offensive language is prohibited.)

VISUAL ARTS: JUDGING CRITERIA
